He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is an American animated television series produced by Filmation based on Mattel’s successful toy line Masters of the Universe. Grand Hotel is a Spanish drama television series directed by Carlos Sedes and starring Yon Gonzalez and Amaia Salamanca. It first aired on Antena 3 in Spain on 11 October 2011 and on Sky Arts 1 in the UK on 18 November 2012.

The series, filmed at the Palacio de la Magdalena in Santander, is set in an early 20th century aristocratic hotel during the reign of King Alfonso XIII and is centered on the mysteries that involve the owner family and the hotel servants. Grand Hotel has received critical acclaim from television critics and won numerous accolades.

The Mighty B! is an American animated television series co-created by Amy Poehler, Cynthia True and Erik Wiese for Nickelodeon. The series centers on Bessie Higgenbottom, an ambitious Honeybee girl scout who believes she will become The Mighty B if she collects every Honeybee badge. Bessie lives in San Francisco with her single mother Hilary, brother Ben and dog Happy. Poehler provides the voice of Bessie, who is loosely based on a character Poehler played on the improvisational comedy troupes Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade.

The Mighty B! premiered on Saturday, April 26, 2008, which was the morning after Poehler’s film Baby Mama had premiered. She said that she would “go to bed and stay in my pajamas until 10:30 a.m. and watch Mighty B”. Since its debut, the show has attracted an average 3.1 million viewers. In the second quarter of 2008, the show ranked among the top five animated programs on television.

In September 2008, the show was renewed for a second season with 20 episodes that premiered on September 21, 2009. The second season was the last, since The Mighty B! was not featured in Nickelodeon’s list of renewed shows for the 2010–2011 TV season. The Mighty B! has been nominated for six Annie Awards and four Daytime Emmy Awards, so far winning one Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation. It has garnered one Artios Award nomination and one Golden Reel Award nomination.

Anna Pihl is a Danish police drama produced by TV2. The series stars Charlotte Munck as the title character Anna Pihl, Peter Mygind, and Iben Hjejle as Mikala. Three seasons have been produced, each having 10 episodes.

The show follows the work and personal life of Anna Pihl, a policewoman at the Bellahøj police station in Copenhagen. She is divorced, and lives with her son, Mikkel, in a flat shared with Jan, her gay male friend. The show focuses on personal stories and realism: although it has action and suspense, it comes second to more realistic material.

Besides Denmark, the series has been broadcast in Iceland, Sweden, Norway and Finland. In Germany, the show was cancelled due to low ratings after the first nine episodes of season 1. A late night re-run started in September 2008. Season one aired in Estonia and in Australia on SBS One. In USA, Latin America and Portugal, Anna Pihl airs on Eurochannel.

The theme song for season 1 was “Crosshair” by Blue Foundation, while the theme song for seasons 2 and 3 was “In the End I Started” by Swedish singer Maria Marcus and Dane Niels Brinck.
