The World at War is a 26-episode British television documentary series chronicling the events of the Second World War. At the time of its completion in 1973 it was the most expensive series ever made, costing £900,000. It was announced at Disney’s upfront meeting on March 12, 2013 for a premiere on June 28 on Disney Channel, with a total of 19 episodes, the third of which was made available on Disney’s website as a “special preview”.
