Commander in Chief is an American drama television series that focused on the fictional administration and family of Mackenzie Allen, the first female President of the United States, who ascends to the post from the Vice Presidency after the death of the sitting President from a sudden cerebral aneurysm.
The series began broadcasting on ABC on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, although most countries outside North America began screening the series in mid-2006.
The show was #1 on Tuesday nights until FOX’s American Idol started in January. The show was also the #1 new show of the season until CBS’ Criminal Minds surpassed it. Its major competitor in the 9:00 p.m. timeslot was FOX’s House, which aired after American Idol.
The series was created by American director Rod Lurie, director of the films The Contender and Deterrence and may have been inspired by The West Wing, a popular political drama on rival NBC.
The network replaced Lurie with Steven Bochco as show runner, but declining ratings brought about a hiatus, a timeslot change and ultimately cancellation.

Doug is an American animated sitcom created by Jim Jinkins and co-produced by his studio, Jumbo Pictures. Doug originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States of America. It, along with Rugrats and The Ren & Stimpy Show, comprised the original three Nicktoons, premiering simultaneously on August 11, 1991 and ending on January 2, 1994. Following the acquisition of the former Jumbo Pictures by Disney in 1996, the series aired on ABC as part of the former Disney’s One Saturday Morning programming block. The second series premiered on September 7, 1996, and ended on June 26, 1999 while having a feature film adaption. In 2011, the Nickelodeon series became syndicated on TeenNick’s then newly debuted The ’90s Are All That block.

Spooks: Code 9 is a counter-intelligence drama series broadcast on BBC Three in 2008.
The series was commissioned by BBC Fiction’s controller Jane Tranter as a spin-off of their long-running drama Spooks, offering a “more maverick, younger perspective” that would attract a 16-24-year-old audience. The series follows a group of six new young MI5 recruits who “follow a different rule book”. It was produced by the independent production company Kudos and was filmed in and around Leeds and Bradford. The first two episodes were broadcast on BBC Three on 10 August 2008 and repeated on the same channel on 11 August 2008.
The decision to relate the new project to the original Spooks was controversial, with actor Georgia Moffett saying “it’s slightly misleading in terms of the word Spooks.” and producer Chris Fry saying “this is a completely new show. There are no crossover characters or storylines and, most importantly, it is set in a completely new world.” After the relatively unsuccessful first series, executive producer Karen Wilson claimed that many of the existing cast members were “contracted for another year” and outlined themes “we’d like to explore if we get a second series.”
