JONAS is the first Disney Channel Original Series (DCOS) since Phil of the Future not to be filmed before a live studio audience or to have a laugh track. Men in Trees is an American romantic television comedy-drama series which premiered on September 12, 2006 on ABC and starred Anne Heche who played relationship coach Marin Frist. The series was set in the fictional town of Elmo, Alaska and concerned Marin Frist’s misadventures in relationships. The premise showed at least superficial similarities to the HBO television series Sex and the City, which also featured a romantically-oriented, female writer. The protagonist’s apparent “fish-out-of-water” feeling in a remote, small, Alaskan town can be likened to CBS’s Northern Exposure. The protagonists in both series were New Yorkers thrust into small town Alaska societies. Filming for the series was based in Squamish, British Columbia.

Gary Unmarried is an American sitcom created by Ed Yeager, which ran on CBS from September 24, 2008 to March 17, 2010. The series focuses on a recently divorced couple sharing custody of their kids while starting new relationships. The show was produced by ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios, and Yeager and Ric Swartzlander served as Executive Producers for the first season. The series was known as Project Gary during tapings before premiering on television. On May 18, 2010, CBS announced that it had canceled the show.

Created and written by Susan Nickson, it is set in the town of Runcorn in Cheshire, England, and originally revolves around the lives of five twenty-somethings. In September 2007 Little confirmed in an interview on This Morning that he had left the series. The seventh series aired following a two year hiatus in 2008 with Little’s character being killed off in the first episode. Smith and Drysdale did not return for the ninth and final series with their departures being mentioned briefly in the first episode, Freddie Hogan and Georgia Henshaw were brought in as their replacements making Mellor and Casey the only original characters left in the series. Writer & Creator, Susan Nickson also left before the ninth series.
