Bobby Davis, a wealthy football star, goes to bed one night secure in his wealth of almost one hundred million dollars and awakens the next morning almost broke. It appears that his business manager lost almost all of Bobby’s money. The business manager also lost every dollar invested by Bobby’s relatives. Every last penny lost in a Ponzi scheme. As if things couldn’t be worse Bobby finds out out that three women are pregnant…each with his baby. Things can always get worse.
In a world where mythical creatures are real, monsters and humans are forced to coexist; and as prejudice and insecurity pulls everyone apart, three separate storylines manage to come together.
A nameless, pill-popping drifter girl steps off a bus and into a New Jersey neighborhood bar owned by two middle-age brothers, Jimmy & Victor. She quickly befriends older brother, Victor––a good-natured lummox whose mind was affected by a childhood accident. The mysterious “Girl” soon upsets the delicate balance of the brother’s lives while bringing both trouble and new life into their resigned world and town.
Tommy has lost his job, his love and his life. He lives in a small apartment above the Trees Lounge, a bar which he frequents along with a few other regulars without lives. He gets a job driving an ice cream truck and ends up getting involved with the seventeen-year-old niece of his ex-girlfriend. This gets him into serious trouble with her father.
Evicted from his squat and suddenly alone on the streets, George is a man without a home. Struggling with his demons and desperately trying to connect with the daughter he abandoned, he navigates the system, hustling for change and somewhere safe and quiet to gather his thoughts. But the streets are relentless and soon, George finds himself teetering on the edge, alone and abandoned.
