A privileged rich debutante and a cynical struggling entertainer share a turbulent, but strong childhood friendship over the years.

Based on the short story, “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been”, by Joyce Carol Oates, this film chronicles a 15-year-old girl, Connie’s, sexual awakening in the Northern California suburbs. Her experimenting begin to get out of hand when the mysterious Arnold Friend takes an interest in her.
