ThunderCats is an American animated television series that was produced by Rankin/Bass Productions debuting in 1985, based on the characters created by Tobin “Ted” Wolf. The series, for which Leonard Starr was the head writer, follows the adventures of a group of cat-like humanoid aliens. The animation was provided by Japanese animation company Pacific Animation Corporation whose artists later went on to join Studio Ghibli. Crunchyroll simulcasted the animation during its Japanese broadcast and continues to webcast it. At Otakon 2011 Bandai Entertainment announced that they would release the series in North America. In January 2012 Bandai Entertainment announced that they will withdraw from the North American market, and GOSICK’s North American release was cancelled.

A group of friends have customized their microwave so that it can send text messages to the past.
