Dan’s new partner, Jack Bailey, is an ambitious, by-the-book and overall good detective, but is sometimes a bit too snarky for his own good. His habit of undermining himself has earned him a dead-end position in the department, and he is stuck solving annoying petty theft cases that nobody else wants. The program’s host previously starred on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien for 16 years, then presented The Tonight Show for seven months until Jay Leno’s return to his version of The Tonight Show due to the 2010 Tonight Show conflict.

In 2005, MTV2 announced the revival of the show as part of their “Sic ‘Em Friday” programming block.
